Hello,
Iīve got a question about the race in Joure on september the 4th. Me and two friends want to join it- so, in Febuary I phoned with Ruurd Bosma from the Solex-club A.O.W who organize this race. He told me, that he would send me an invitation or registration-formular or something like that before the race.

Right now, there are about three weeks left till the date and I havenīt received anything yet- I īve tried to phone him and sent him an email last week but no reaction- maybe heīs simply on vacation, but still Iīm a bit worried- you see, we come from Hamburg and have to rent a van for the tour- would be a pitty if we do it for nothing...
So, finally, my question: Can anyone (maybe someone who raced there in the years before) tell me, if such an registration is necessary or if we could just come around on friday the 3rd ?

Thanks, Peter,thatīs fine !

Ruurd send me the reglement per Email- it was in dutch, so I had to translate it which was a problem itself...anyway, wellītake helmets and so on with us.
My Solex (from 1970) runs about 30-35 km/h (depends on weather and her mood , it has a french cylinder and another carburetor-pipe- but no modifications which you can see from outside the motor, so Iīll hope it still belongs into the standard-class. The other 2 solexes are from 1970 and 1968, they are nearly original except the pipe of the carburetor is bigger (32cc). On a good day they run about 25-30km/h.

Will you start in Joure too ?

Oh, I see- Iīm a race newbie, I just want to try it because we went to Joure last year. While we were "only" watching the race, we decide to join it this year. We saw the fast ones, (I donīt know exactly which class they were) they look+sound really great and show a high technical standard- things like an electronic ignition or such big exhausts Iīve never seen before on a velosolex.

I hope I belong to the "C"-class, I mean itīs orginal as it was sold in france, I only rebulit the things that were done to make it suitable for german insurances (the "mofa"-class, which means a limitation of 25km/h)
